This is one of the quirkier sculptural pieces made by Dan Spector in his studio on Broad Avenue, Memphis, TN. He originally displayed it in an outdoor exhibition featuring a number of works from this series. This is the last available from the aforementioned collection. It features a life cast of legs from the female form, which he then painted and sealed with varnish. A stake is joined to the sculpture for display. It is intended to be planted in dirt either in a large flower pot or garden setting. We recommend indoor display for archivability, but Dan would say plant it where ever you want and enjoy.
